Astro Alloys offers a selection Praxair nickel-based spray powder. Pure nickel alloy thermal spray powders have a distinguished history of alloys with high, medium, and low hardness ranges specifically designed to serve a broad scope of industrial applications. With the addition of Chromium, Silicon, Boron, Moly, Carbon, and Carbides they form extremely hardware resistant phases that protect carbon steels and stainless steel components from the most severe environments of erosion, corrosion, and high temperature. Nickel alloys have been used extensively in the oilfield to protect drilling components from extremely abrasive drilling conditions. Aircraft and land-based turbines also use a wide variety of Nickel Alloys to enhance the strength and corrosion resistance of critical rotating and stationary components. Industrial pumps utilize Nickel Alloys to protect them from fine particle erosion and corrosive wear.
